About the Clinic

Does the price of a procedure include all costs, or are there any additional fees?

Yes. The stated price is fixed and includes the initial consultation, the medical procedure, the necessary materials, the staff fees (doctors, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff), and the follow-up visit.

There are no additional costs.

Does the clinic work with private health insurance or medical plans?

The clinic is private. Except for the agreement with CatSalut for abortion, there are no direct agreements with insurers for other services.

Some insurance policies with reimbursement coverage may pay part or all of the cost; it is recommended to confirm this with your insurer.

Does the abortion cost vary by weeks of pregnancy?

Yes. The cost varies depending on the weeks of pregnancy because, as the pregnancy progresses, the procedure may require more time, more medical resources and, in some cases, a different type of anesthesia.

At the initial consultation, an ultrasound is performed to determine the gestational age accurately, and you are given an informed estimate with an estimated range, since the ultrasound can vary by a few days and the pregnancy progresses between appointments.

Two price options are provided (the most likely week and the following week) to ensure full transparency and avoid surprises.

Do prices include VAT?

Yes. The prices shown are final.

Medical services are VAT-exempt under Spanish law, so no additional tax applies.

Which payment methods are accepted? Is it possible to pay in installments?

Payments are accepted with the main credit and debit cards.

Currently, payment is made directly at the clinic and we do not offer financing or installment payments.

What is the fastest way to contact the clinic?

The fastest way is by phone at 93 339 01 36, available during opening hours.

It allows you to resolve questions immediately and book an appointment right away.

How do you handle calls after someone fills out the contact form?

Calls are handled discreetly.

The team only asks for the interested person by name, without identifying themselves as a gynecology clinic until they confirm there is privacy to speak.

Is it possible to get an appointment for the same day or the next day?

Yes, as long as the schedule allows. In many cases, it is possible to get an appointment the same day or the next day, depending on the service requested.

What personal information do I need to provide when booking an appointment?

Only your name, a contact phone number, and the general reason for the visit (for example, a gynecology check-up, abortion, or a urology consultation) are required.

There is no need to share personal or clinical information on the call.

What is the most discreet way to contact us?

The most discreet options are WhatsApp and the web form.

They allow you to send your inquiry at any time and receive a response confidentially, at the time the patient indicates.

Abortion

Is abortion painful?

The experience depends on the method used:

Surgical abortion: performed under anesthesia (local anesthesia or sedation).

With sedation, you do not feel pain during the procedure; with local anesthesia, you may notice mild discomfort, similar to a cramp, but never intense pain.

Medical abortion: the at-home process causes cramps that are stronger than those of a heavy period.

To manage them, we prescribe a regimen of strong pain relievers and complementary measures such as local heat.

What documents should I bring to the first visit?

The essential document is a valid, official identity document (DNI, passport, or NIE). In addition:

Private route: only the identity document is required.

Public route (CatSalut): the Individual Health Card (TSI) and the authorization referral issued by the corresponding CAP or ASSIR are also required.

Contraception

What is the best contraception method?

There is no single ideal method for all women, but rather the most suitable option for each case.

The choice depends on age, overall health, lifestyle habits, and future reproductive plans.

During the counseling consultation, these factors are reviewed to recommend the most effective and safe option.

How do the implant and IUD compare as long-acting contraception?

Both are long-acting reversible methods (LARC), but they have differences:

Copper IUD: contains no hormones and works by altering the uterine environment.

Hormonal IUD: releases a low dose of progestin locally.

Implant: releases progestin continuously from the arm, acting systemically.

All exceed 99% effectiveness, and the choice depends on tolerance to hormones and personal preferences.

What options do I have if I don’t want to rely on taking a pill every day?

Long-acting reversible methods (LARC) are the most convenient and effective option.

They include the IUD (hormonal or copper) and the subdermal implant, which provide protection for years without the need for daily reminders.

Ginecology

Is a vaginal culture test the same as a Pap smear (Pap test)?

No. They are different tests with different purposes.

A Pap smear detects cell changes in the cervix to help prevent cancer, while a culture identifies bacteria or fungi responsible for vaginal infections.

Although the sample collection is similar, the analysis and the purpose are different.

Is the HPV vaccine useful for women over 30?

Yes. Although it is recommended in adolescence, the vaccine is still beneficial for adult women.

It protects against HPV types you have not yet been exposed to, reducing the risk of cervical cancer and genital warts.

How often is a complete gynecological checkup recommended?

An annual gynecology check-up is recommended, even for healthy women without symptoms.

This helps detect changes at an early stage and ensures appropriate preventive follow-up, providing long-term reassurance and safety.

STI / STD Testing

Do I need STI testing if I don’t have symptoms?

Yes. Many sexually transmitted infections are asymptomatic for months or even years, such as chlamydia or HPV.

The only way to detect them, treat them in time, and prevent transmission is through specific tests.

How often should I get STI testing if I’m sexually active?

The frequency depends on your risk level.

As a general rule, an annual check-up is recommended if you are sexually active.

If you have multiple sexual partners, sex without a condom, or suspected exposure, it is advisable to increase the frequency to every 3–6 months.

What happens if an STI test comes back positive?

Most STIs have effective treatment.

Bacterial infections (chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis): are cured with antibiotics.

Viral infections (HIV, herpes): are not eliminated, but are managed with medication, allowing a normal, healthy life.

After a positive result, the diagnosis is explained, the treatment is prescribed, and medical follow-up is provided.

Obstetrics

What mandatory tests are included in pregnancy follow-up in Spain?

Pregnancy monitoring in Spain includes several standardized tests:

– Blood and urine tests in different trimesters.

– Basic ultrasounds at weeks 12, 20 (anatomy scan), and 32.

– First-trimester screening (triple screening) to calculate the risk of chromosomal anomalies.

– Glucose testing between weeks 24 and 28.

– Blood pressure and weight monitoring at every visit.

Depending on how the pregnancy is progressing, the obstetrician may request additional tests.

When is a blood pregnancy test or ultrasound recommended?

Within a few days of a missed period, a blood test (Beta-hCG) is already reliable.

For an ultrasound, you need to wait until week 5 or 6, when it is possible to see the gestational sac in the uterus.

What is first-trimester triple screening?

It is a screening test that combines ultrasound and blood-test data to calculate the risk of chromosomal anomalies.

An abnormal result does not mean a diagnosis; it indicates the need to perform more specific tests.

Urology

Can a vasectomy be reversed if I change my mind?

A reversal surgery (vasovasostomy) exists, but it is a complex and costly procedure with a variable success rate.

For this reason, vasectomy should be considered a permanent contraceptive method.

What’s the difference between a urologist and an andrologist?

A urologist is the specialist in diagnosing and treating conditions of the urinary tract and the male reproductive system.

An andrologist is a urologist who has specialized specifically in male sexual and reproductive health, including fertility issues, erectile dysfunction, and andropause.

How is varicocele linked to male infertility?

Varicocele is one of the most common causes of male infertility.

The enlargement of the veins causes an increase in testicular temperature, which can affect sperm production, quality, and motility.

Surgery corrects this issue and significantly improves the chances of achieving a pregnancy.
